Amy Winehouse has today won a coverted Ivor Novello award at the 52nd Ivor Novello awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. The award was for Best Contemporary Song for Rehab. When collecting her award Amy said: “Thank you all very much, I didn’t even have time to get drunk, I’ve only been here about 15 minutes.”

Arctic Monkeys were also rightfully rewarded by picking up the Best Album award for their superb debut album ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’. Singer Alex Turner collected their award from Mick Jones from The Clash. Accepting the award on behalf of the band, Alex said, “Whenever we’ve picked up awards before we’ve always gobbed off but I want to thank everybody for this award especially our managers Ian and Geoff. Without them no one would have heard our music.”

It has been announced that Amy Winehouse will be one of the live performers at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. She is expected to be performing Rehab on the show which will be broadcast at 8pm on MTV on Tuesday 3rd June 2007. This will again help Amy Winehouse as she flies the flag for British music in America. Other performances will include Rihanna and Jay-Z who will be taking the stage together to perform the single Umbrella which is currently number 1 in the UK singles chart.

This video clip goes to prove that all good singers have there bad days. What is Amy Winehouse on? She sounds terrible, which is something you don’t often here when talking about Amy Winehouse. I could barely understand what she was singing (mumbling would probably be a more accurate description). On the other hand though, Charlotte Church sounds pretty good. Oh well, lets just hope there aren’t too many of these performances from Amy in the future.

Amy Winehouse’s new husband Blake Fielder-Civil has reportedly been boasting that Amy did not make him sign a pre-nuptial agreement before getting married last Friday. Blake, who is a music video assistant has apparently been nicknamed Anna Nicole Smith by some of the people that know him because they think he is only with Amy Winehouse for her money. A source close to Blake has claimed he has been singing ‘They tried to make me sign a pre-nup, but I said no, no, no’ to the tune of Rehab.

I wonder how long this marriage will last???

It has been reported today that Amy Winehouse and her on-off boyfriend Blake Fielder-Civil got married yesterday (18th May 2007) in Miami. The rumours about their marriage had been flying about for a couple of weeks, but now it is official.

Apparently the couple have signed a £250,000 deal with a magazine to have exclusive rights to photos of their wedding day, which would explain all of the secrecy surrounding the wedding. On the big day Amy Winehouse wore a short sexy flowerd dress, while Blake wore a fifties style grey suit with a trilby hat.
