There have been a number of rumours flying about that Amy Winehouse is being touted as a future Bond girl. I can’t see this myself, although she definitely has the voice and talent to write and sing a bond theme song. This is something that I definitely can imagine. With previous big voiced female artists such as Shirley Bassey and Tina Turner belting out the Bond theme tunes, Amy Winehouse’s unique voice certainly wouldn’t fall short.
When asked about the possibility of playing a Bond girl in one of the new Bond films, Amy had this to say - “Can you imagine me in Bond with (Daniel) Craig? There’s no way I’d want to be good like a Bond babe, I’d have to be bad.”

Amy Winehouse has received the most number of nominations for the 2007 Mojo awards, with 3 nominations to her name. Her 3 nominations are for song of the year (Rehab), best album of the year (Back to Black), and best live act.
In her battle for song of the year Amy Winehouse has strong competition, especially from the likes of Arctic Monkeys for Brianstorn and The Gossip for Standing in the Way of Control. For best album of the year Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black is up against the legendry Bob Dylan for Modern Times, and a band I had not heard of up until now called Midlake.
What looks like the toughest category for Amy Winehouse will be the category for best live act. This category again puts Amy Winehouse up against the Arctic Monkeys, who are fantastic live and have got to be in with a shout. She is also up against Arcade Fire who again have received massive praise and an almost cult following for their highly energetic and mesmerising live performances. Also in the category are The Stooges and The Who.
The Mojo awards ceremony takes place on 18 June in London, at which the magazine will award a number of honours including the Hall of Fame and lifetime achievement awards.
